Zoey and Jack

For the past two weeks, we've had the privilege of dog sitting.  Jeff and Virginia brought over Koko and Jack.  Koko got here on a Saturday and went back with Jeff and Virginia Wednesday.  The had made a short trip to Pigeon Forge, taking along Lindsey and Pauline.  They were then headed to Florida for a week and took Koko.  They wanted to give Koko "space".  They didn't think she'd enjoy herself with the "twins".  (Yes, I KNOW they are not twins.  They are litter mates from a litter of 13.  Twins is just easier to say, and write.)

Koko did great while she was here.  We've watched her before and she just moped around and hardly ate.  But this time, she seemed quite happy!  She played, ate, roamed the back yard.  Good dog!

Jack and Zoey had the time of their life!  As soon as Jack arrived, they ran into the back yard and wrestled.  They played so hard that first week...  They'd play until they were exhausted, then they'd come to the porch for a drink and pass out for about 10 minutes.  They'd catch their breath then take off for the next round.

Everything they did, they did together.  They ran, played, licked, slept, begged, sat, ate - all together.  Their mannerisms were very similar, too.  It was so funny to see them both get up and stretch exactly the same together.  Or they'd play outside and both try to carry the same stick.  Another time they were sitting side by side, both with their left paw tucked under them.  It was so much fun having Jack here!

Each morning when I'd let one of them out of the cage, they would run to the room where the other was and wait for that dog to be released.  They couldn't wait to see each other.

Well, Jack just went home.  Zoey was crying at the door when Jack went out without her.  Now Zoey is walking around the house looking for Jack.  Poor pup!
